Surface Area Dance Theatre travelled to New York to expand on their international repertoire and to once again collaborate with No Neck Blues Band.
An entwined alliance with members of NO NECK BLUES, who ignore any logical illusion or obvious contradiction in exacting their own true monumental sound.
Immersed in a cloud of hypnotic resonance, the layers of potent sound and imagery induce physical extremes. A soul enchanted by the haze of life levitates through galleries of cascading imagery.
While in New York team members undertook research into future performance opportunities in NY, this resulted in the company being invited join Movement Research Artists-In-Residence and international guests in performing at the historic Judson Memorial Church in June 2010.
