**Surface Area offer a range of workshops in both dance and film making to schools, youth groups, colleges and universities.
Workshops include:

Dance Workshops: Diversity projects, encouraging healthy livestyles, creative choreography, contemporary dance

Film Workshops: VJ'ing, micro-movies, short film making , music videos, animation

We also offer workshops in media performance which blend dance, film making, music production and performance.

Benefits of workshops include improved self-confidence, learning new skills, developing creativity, developing creative thinking, enhanced sociability, improved physical fitness and health.

Advanced Training Programme (Regional Gifted & Talented Young People)
Northern Youth Dance Company - guest choreographer
Newcastle College - 2nd Year Degree Students - Guest Choreographer
The Round Theatre, Ouseburn Valley - Creative Outreach Worker

Current Work:
Cultural Hubs - Around The World Festival - Guest Choreographer - Working with young people in Years 7,8, and 9 from Tanfield Lea Comprehensive School, County Durham to produce a performance to be held at Dance City in July 2008.
